Today is Cinco de Mayo - the day when Mexican troops defeated the French (and others) in 1862. About 99.99% of Mexicans are Catholic. I'm not, but I do have a confession to make; I love tequila.
Another confession, I get tired of wine - so tired that I have a hard time thinking about it all the time at my day job and then writing about it for Wine Giques. Truth is, I like beer, and gin, and bourbon, and a lot of other tasty libations as well.
Though I am not advocating an all-out drunk fest, there is nothing more thirst quenching than a really fabulous Margarita. So I think y'all should have a few tacos today and make a toast to Mexico.
The Martini of Margaritas Recipe: 1 to 1 tequila (Patron or Tres Generaciones Silver) and Patron Citronge (or Cointreau), 1/2 to 1 full lime - shake and serve up. You may want to adjust the Citronge and lime to taste.

Hey, Suenarita: Everyone's Mexican and Catholic today! Have a margarita for me, okay?
